licensing criteria of experience, equipment and compliance with the Act and regulations.

1. Names of owners, officers/directors, and managers of the business.
2. Copies of incorporation document, or documents to verify the registry of the company name.
3. A description of the business premises which includes details of land, buildings and equipment.
4. An overview of the experience of management and those responsible for operating the business.

Application for Licence as a Dealer

Notice To: Seed Corn Dealers
Re : Licence As A Dealer Of Seed Corn

Enclosed, please find an application form for a licence as a dealer of seed corn.

Please note, a licence as a dealer of seed corn is only required if you contract with Ontario producers for the production of seed corn.

The criteria for licensing are as follows:

1. Equipment
2. Experience
3. Compliance with all applicable regulations under the Farm Products Marketing Act.

Licences have no expiry date, unless identified to the contrary on the licence.

Once a dealer has been issued a licence, this licence will continue unless the dealer fails to comply with the licensing criteria, ceases operation, or there is a change in the ownership of the assets of the company. In the latter two cases, the existing licence must be surrendered, and the new operator must apply for a licence.

If there are indications that a dealer is not in compliance with the licensing criteria, the licence can be reviewed at any time.
