Herbicides

Metolachlor (Dual®)

  • Labelled Signal Word: Warning
  • Winter Storage: Preferably should not freeze. If frozen, return to original state by allowing product to warm to 10-20°C and agitate thoroughly before use.
  • Leaching: Low
  • Soil/Water Absorption: Moderate
  • Soil/Water Solution: Low
  • Mammalian Toxicity: Low toxicity (1001 - 10000 Oral LD50 Rate mg/kg)
  • Birds Toxicity: Very low toxicity (>2000 Acute Oral mg/kg)
  • Fish Toxicity: Moderate toxicity (2 - 10 ppm)
  • Bee Toxicity: Relatively non-toxic. Can be used with few precautions with minimum injury to bees.

Atrazine (Aatrex®)

  • Labelled Signal Word: Caution

  • Soil/Water Solution: Moderate

Glyphosate (Roundup®, Touchdown®)

Azinphos-methyl (Guthion®, Sniper®)

  • Labelled Signal Word: Danger
  • Winter Storage: Do not allow to freeze
  • Leaching: Low
  • Soil/Water Absorption: Moderate
  • Soil/Water Solution: High
  • Mammalian Toxicity: Extreme toxicity (0 - 10 Oral LD50 Rate mg/kg)
  • Birds Toxicity: High toxicity (10 - 50 Acute Oral mg/kg)
  • Fish Toxicity: Extreme toxicity (<0.1 ppm)
  • Bee Toxicity: Kills on contact

Terbufos (Counter®)

  • Labelled Signal Word: Danger
  • Winter Storage: Not usually damaged by freezing. Store in a cool, dry place. Emulsifiable concentrate and solution formulations in this group are stable to -18°C. Dry flowable formulations packaged in water-soluble film should not be moved while frozen.
  • Leaching: Low
  • Soil/Water Absorption: Low
  • Soil/Water Solution: Moderate
  • Mammalian Toxicity: Extreme toxicity (0 - 10 Oral LD50 Rate mg/kg)
  • Birds Toxicity: High toxicity (10 - 50 Acute Oral mg/kg)

Carbaryl (Sevin®)
