Solar Energy

Despite Ontario's northern latitude, much of the province has good solar exposure, and rural areas are particularly well placed to take advantage of it because the relatively low levels of air pollution make solar collection more efficient.

There are many ways to harness that solar energy. To extract the maximum amount of energy from the sun's rays, look to a solar hot air or solar hot water system. If you want to generate electricity, you'll need a solar photovoltaic (PV) system.
