Farm Water Supply: Water Supply and Distribution Systems - Publication 476

This publication focuses on the quantitative aspects of groundwater. It provides useful information on the construction of various types of water wells and on the characteristics, selection, installation and maintenance of pumps. Farm water distribution systems are described. In areas where adequate supplies of groundwater are unobtainable, a surface water source such as a stream, lake or pond may be used to meet the farm needs. The manual is not intended as a guide for well construction or pump installation and distribution systems.
