Introduction

The OMAFRA Ginseng and Specialty Crop Report provides information on crop production issues and events affecting specialty crop producers and associated industry in Ontario. These reports provide information on crop production; monitoring and management of insects, diseases and weeds; meetings and answers to frequently asked questions about specialty crops in Ontario. Several editions are published: Ginseng, Sweet potatoes, Herbs and Spices, and Other Specialty Crops (to include tobacco, hemp, sea buckthorn, elderberries and other crops with novel food or industrial applications). The Ginseng and Specialty Crop Report is issued 2 times per month during the growing season, or more frequently when there is timely information to deliver.
