BRAVO - Building Recognition and Value at OMAFRAThe BRAVO Awards program recognizes individuals and teams whose exemplary contributions have set new standards of excellence at OMAFRA. Leslie Huffman was the winner of the 2005 BRAVO Commitment to Service Award for her commitment to serving Ontario horticulture. Ken Slingerland
Ken Slingerland was awarded the 2006 "Award of Merit" by the Ontario Tender Fruit Producers' Marketing Board in recognition of his many years of valuable service to the Ontario tender fruit industry. Jim Todd was appointed Adjunct Professor, University of Guelph, Department of Environmental Biology, as a result of a project that was initiated to determine if tobacco could be grown at high density as an industrial crop for the production of bio-chemicals, proteins and biomass for energy.
