Publication 838 is the source of pest control information for field vegetable crops. Easy-to-read tables provide information on insect and disease control products for a variety of vegetables crops grown in Ontario. Publication 838 is a companion to Publication 839, Ontario Field Vegetable Guide (expected to be released in 2013), which will contain more comprehensive information on crop production and pest management.

Publications 838 and 839 replace Publication 363, Vegetable Production Recommendations. Publication 363 will remain available to growers, at a reduced price, providing vegetable production information until Publication 839 is available.
