Description
Adult sap beetles, also known as
picnic beetles, are 4 mm (approximately 1/6 in.) in length, dark brown to black
with two pale yellow spots on each wing cover.
Image 1. Sap beetles feeding on bruised corn ear.
Also known as picnic beetles. Do not cause the primary damage.
Integrated
Pest Management OptionsNot an economic pest but can carry Fusarium.
