This Ontario map shows crop heat unit accumulations by area. Lines showing the same chu accumulation in 200 chu increments are drawn on the map. The map is based on temperature accumulations beginning on May 1 from 1971 to 2000. The lines with numbers represent the approximate crop heat unit accumulation for that area and can help with the selection of corn hybrids that will reach maturity before season-ending frost.
