Emergency use:
Field cucumbers, squash, melons and processing pumpkins. Other
crops: Soybeans. |
| Rate |
Field cucumbers, squash and processing pumpkins:
0.78 to 1.17 L/ha
0.31 to 0.46 L/ac
280 to 421 g/ha (active ingredient)
Use the lower recommended rate on coarse (sandy loam) soils and
the higher recommended rate on fine (silty or clay loam) soils.
Melons (muskmelon and watermelon):
0.78 L/ha
0.31 L/ac
280 g/ha (active ingredient)
Apply in 95 L water/ha as a PRE treatment after the crop is seeded,
and prior to crop emergence.
|
| Sensitive Weeds |
Lamb's-quarters
(including triazine tolerant), velvetleaf,
and barnyard
grass (in medium textured soil only), Eastern
black nightshade, lady's-thumb,
green
and yellow
foxtail, suppression of redroot
pigweed, common
ragweed |
| Uptake and Translocation |
Readily absorbed by roots and
emerging shoots, and translocated in the xylem to foliage. |
| Basis of Selectivity |
Susceptible species emerge
from the soil bleached white, and become necrotic after several days.
Blocks chlorophyll metabolism. |
| Application Methods |
Preemergence, before crop
or weed emergence. Apply after seeding and before crop emerges. Use
the lower recommended rate on coarse (sandy loam) soils, and the higher
recommended rate on fine (silt, clay, clay loam) soils. Apply in 95
L water/ha. |
| Residual Activity |
Whean applied at reccommended rates, Command 360 ME will provide
season long weed control. It is relatively immobile in soil and
microbial decomposition is the principle path of dissipation. Some
rotational restrictions apply, refer to tables
4-3 and 4-4 for
more information. Soil texture impacts residual and product efficacy,
see product label for appropriate rates.
Re-Cropping Guidelines: Observe these plant back
intervals before the following rotational crop:
Following Spring: Soybeans, White Beans, Kidney
Beans, Snap Beans, Canola (spring), Corn (Field and Sweet), Peas,
Peppers (transplant, plugs), Broccoli (transplant, plugs), Cucumbers,
Pumpkins, Squash and Potatoes
16 months: All other crops (i.e. Winter Wheat,
Spring Cereals)
|
| Unique Characteristics |
Avoid off-target drift to prevent foliar damage to neighbouring
vegetation. Cherry, willow, raspberry, grapes, and roses are extremely
sensitive and many other species are sensitive.
Emergency registration expires August 31, 2008.
|
| Precautions |
Temporary whitening and/or yellowing of the crop may occur when
emerging from the treated soil.
Do NOT make more than one application per season.
Do NOT incorporate.
Do NOT apply within 45 days to harvest.
Do NOT apply to sandy soil.
Do NOT re-enter treated area for 12 hours after treatment.
Do NOT allow livestock to graze on treated vines.
Do NOT use on Jack-o-lantern pumpkins.
All crops:
Off-target drift will cause severe damage to susceptible plants:
Do NOT exceed a spray pressure of 207 Kpa (30 P.S.I) or consider
using low drift nozzles.
Apply when temperatures are below 25 C.
Do NOT apply when winds are dead calm or gusty and exceed 16 km/hr.
Use a 90 to 370 metre buffer zone from sensitive areas.
Do NOT apply more than one application per season.
Do NOT apply by air - ground equipment only.
Do NOT apply to muck or soils > 10% organic matter.
Incorporate manure at least 10-15 cm before application.
