Introduction

To convert kg/ha or L/ha to g/ha or mL/100 m²: Multiply by 10 and change units to 100 m².
Example: 11 kg/ha becomes 110 g/100 m²; 28.4 L/ha becomes 284 mL/100 m²

Precautions

  • A poisonous gas which must be applied under a gas proof cover (usually plastic).
  • Its use is subject to the Pesticides Act.
  • It may be used by the grower on his own seedbeds but he must obtain a permit from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment each time it is used.
  • The manufacturer's instructions must be followed, and the seedbed or greenhouse aired thoroughly after the treatment period.
  • If there is any question, the safety precautions in the Pesticides Act should be studied, or inquiry made at the resource centres of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Food or the Ontario Ministry of the Environment.
