Information in this publication on the regulation of pesticides in Ontario is outdated due to Ontario's cosmetic pesticides ban, which came into effect on April 22, 2009.

The "Precautions with Pesticides" chapter in OMAFRA crop production recommendation publications has been revised and can be found under Pesticide Application and Safety, on the OMAFRA website at www.ontario.ca/crops.

The requirements of the cosmetic pesticides ban are detailed in Regulation 63/09 made under the Pesticides Act. Regulation 63/09 replaces Regulation 914.
