Powdery mildew (Mid-August and again once or twice at 2-week intervals)

• Materials: Apply one of;
• Nova 40 W @ 340 g/ha
• Pristine WG @ 1.60 kg/ha
• Actinovate SP @ 425g/ha
• Comments: Begin applications on susceptible varieties (Annapolis, Jewel, Veestar) when red leaf speckling first appears or when conditions (warm humid weather, or frequent dews) favour development. Alternate Nova with Pristine.
  Actinovate: Provides suppression rather than control; see Table 2-6. Efficacy Ratings for Pesticides. Spray to wet foliage but avoid runoff. See Biopesticides for disease control, and notes on Streptomyces lydicus (Actinovate).

Common leaf spot (Mid-August and again once or twice at 2-week intervals)

• Materials: Apply one of;
  • Copper 53 W @ 3.80 kg/ha
  • Supra Captan 80 WDG @ 4.25 kg/ha or Maestro 80 DF @ 4.25 kg/ha
  • Topas 250 E @ 500 mL
  • Pristine WG @ 1.30 kg
• Comments: If leaf spot is present, continue fungicide applications at regular intervals, prior to wetting periods. Alternate products from different groups.

Consult the product label for suggested water volumes. Otherwise, use enough water to ensure thorough spray coverage.
