Welcome to "ON Organic"

Welcome to the November 2009 issue of ON Organic. While many are still finishing up harvest of late fall crops or fall tillage it is time to review the programs for winter courses and conferences and set your priorities for winter training. I have tried to list a number of them in this issue. Don't overlook the non-organic conferences that often have some organic speakers or other marketing sessions that are very valuable to organic farms. There are also the various programs to look at, especially the opportunities in Growing Forward which often require you to attend a course or information session to be eligible for the cost share part of the program. In addition to these events don't forget to check the courses and events offered by EFAO, COG and OCO this winter. Never be too busy to learn how to improve the your farm business.

Thanks to Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario (EFAO) and Organic Council of Ontario (OCO) for forwarding this on to their email lists, and I encourage you to share it with other colleagues who may find it useful. As always we welcome your comments.
