The Guelph Food Technology Centre (GFTC) is a non-subsidized (except for initial start-up cots that were covered by the Province of Ontario) not-for-profit food technology centre. It provides confidential technical solutions, training, consulting and auditing to the Canadian agri-food industry on a fee for service basis (discounted to members). It specializes in research and development, product development, packaging, shelf-life, food safety, quality, and productivity improvement.
