Ontario's maple products have evolved over the years to include not just maple syrup and sugar, but also maple butter, candy, taffy, hard block sugar and stirred (granulated sugar) and maple wine; however, the final product offers the same wholesome flavour, quality and image as when it was first produced. By their nature, maple products are easy to store and transport making them excellent treats and gift items. As the industry grows and adapts to changing market demands, emphasis is expected to be placed on satisfying markets for pre-packed maple syrup and other products.
