What Fungicides Are Available for Soybean Rust in 2006

Thanks to the PMRA, there are various fungicide options available for producers to combat Asian soybean rust in Canada for this season, if needed.

To begin with full registrations have been granted by the PMRA for the following:

Headline (pyraclostrobin) – BASF (Strobilurin)

Quadris (azoxystrobin) – Syngenta Crop Protection (Strobilurin)

Tilt (propiconazole) – Syngenta Crop Protection (Triazole)

Quilt (azoxystrobin + propiconazole) – Syngenta Crop Protection (Combo Product)

In addition on June 5, 2006 an emergency use registration was supported by the PMRA for:

Folicur (tebuconazole) – Bayer CropScience (Triazole)
