*N. Ontario refers to Algoma, Cochrane, Kenora, Manitoulin, Parry Sound and Muskoka, Nipissing, Rainy River, Sudbury, Temiskaming and Thunder Bay districts.

**Where lodging is expected, use of a plant growth regulator or a strong strawed barley variety should be considered. Barley grown on areas with greater than 2800 crop heat units should receive 45 kg N/ha, not 70 kg.
