Introduction

The CropLine is a province-wide, toll-free, phone service on crop management tips, herbicide recommendations and pest alerts produced twice a week in season. The number to call is 1-888-449-0937. Leave a message for OMAFRA’s field crop specialists, and they'll do their best to address it on the next CropLine. If you'd rather listen to the CropLine on your computer or MP3 player, you can subscribe to our new CropLine Podcast!

Standard MP3 Podcast

A standard, audio-only file that is compatible with any podcasting software (not just iTunes) and can be played on any computer/MP3 player. To subscribe to the standard podcast:

Step 1:

• Make sure that you have podcast software. If you do not have podcast software, visit the OMAFRA Plugin Information and Downloads Page for information on downloading podcast software.

Step 2:

• Copy and paste the following URL into your podcast software application:
  http://www.omafra.gov.on.ca/english/crops/podcasts/cropline/standard.xml
• When new episodes are posted, you will receive them automatically!

Enhanced M4A Podcast

An enhanced file with embedded chapters, photos, and links to websites. (NOTE: Enhanced podcasts are only compatible with iTunes software and iPod players. They will NOT work in other players.) To subscribe to the enhanced podcast:

Step 1:

• If you have not already done so, download iTunes to your computer. Free download is available at http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

Step 2:

• In iTunes, select Advanced, Subscribe to Podcast, then copy and paste the following URL into the URL box then click OK:
  http://www.omafra.gov.on.ca/english/crops/podcasts/cropline/cropline.xml
• Or, search the iTunes Podcast directory for "cropline" and click the Subscribe button.
• When new episodes are posted, you will receive them automatically!
