OMAFRA Livestock - 8th Lane in Livestock Central

OMAFRA's swine, beef, sheep, goat and poultry resources are centralized this year in one location on the 8th Lane.

A reverse cost of production calculator will be available for producers to try. It is an opportunity to identify desired returns and then the input costs required to make it feasible.

The livestock exhibit's biosecurity component includes a full-scale Danish Entry system, personal protection equipment and biosecurity kits for non-regulated poultry farmers or bird fanciers.

OMAFRA's dairy unit is located in the Dairy Innovation Centre located at Middle Mall and 3rd Lane.

OMAFRA specialists are available in both locations to answer your production questions.

OMAFRA Crops - 5th Lane

At the OMAFRA and Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association exhibit you will see:

  • a constructed wetland in action
  • the latest in biomass crops and trees, the value of crop residues and how they are processed
  • and learn about the Western Bean Cutworm, starter fertilizers in corn and soil quality assessments
  • trials and demonstrations. OMAFRA crop specialists are available to answer your crop production questions.
