Action Plan for Realistic and Achievable Goals

Growing Forward Business Development for Farm Businesses provides assessments and goal setting components, along with a range of cost-share advisory services and skills development opportunities to help Ontario farmers reach their business goals.

Based on the need identified in your signed-off Action Plan, the farm business may be able to access the following cost-share funding opportunities. As an eligible farm business owner, you may choose to participate in one or several areas. However, you must apply to each area separately and receive approval before you begin.

Participants report that workshops helped them develop realistic Action Plans for achieving their business goals.

Some of the activities they plan to carry out include:

• Get succession plan written down
• Improve record-keeping to better understand my business
• Learn more about direct marketing
• Determine if the commodity I'm selling is the most profitable in my area.
