What is causing this spotting on a peach leaf? |

That's right!
Sorry.
These spots are caused by bacterial spot. Damage like this caused by nitrogen deficiency is usually most evident along the midrib and entire leaves may turn red. Leaf tissues surrounding shot holes caused by a nitrogen deficiency are more likely to have a reddish color than when bacterial spot is involved. In addition, there are no fruit symptoms.
It is critical to correctly identify these pests, as the biology and management strategies are different.
