Bacterial spot leaf symptoms start out as small, circular to irregular dark lesions.  As they become more numerous, they can coalesce and eventually cause leaves to drop off.  Symptoms can occur on all above-ground plant parts including stems and fruit.  Verticillium wilt typically begins with yellowing of older leaves, it does not produce spots on the foliage.
