Fruit Cracking

Cracking is generally associated with rapid fruit growth or could be associated with recent pruning. Fine cracks appear in the skin of the fruit.

Fruit splitting is the development of large cracks in the fruit. Fluctuations in water supply may promote this condition. Cultivars with thicker fruit walls may be more prone to splitting.
