This is an oriental fruit moth larva. Oriental fruit moth larvae are very similar in appearance to those of the codling moth. Oriental fruit moth larvae possess an “anal comb” (described above), codling moth larvae do not.

It is critical to correctly identify these pests, as the biology and management strategies are different.
